Hi! My names Aaron- and today I wanted to introduce you to the fine group of people that I get to work with daily at vintage logos, and the team that creates custom drum heads and brands bands across the globe. Before we start if you have not already please check out our social media! We strive to produce entertaining and educational content daily for you! We are a strong team, with one goal in mind; and that is our customer! So, without further ado let’s meet the team!
Shawn (CEO/Graphic Specialist)
First I want to introduce you to our boss and CEO Shawn! Shawn started VL over 20 years ago. For him, it’s hard to think back that far because vintage logos has been built into such a large company and has enriched him with years of experiences. When I asked him what he loved the most about VL, he smiled and said “Giving people a custom handmade product, that they love”. He knew instantly his biggest joy was making his customers happy with the product he was supplying them. In fact, he said that’s the biggest drive and motivation for him as well.
But, I want you all to know the real Shawn, and he is a man of many wonders! When he’s not producing drumheads; he’s experimenting with audio equipment.. he’s very much an audiophile. On one of my first few days working here, he had me experience these large speakers from the 60’s that he has in our offices. It was a different experience, none like I had before. He’s also a huge family man. He enjoys spending time with is two children, Bella and Brayden; and his wife Jennifer. They’ve seen the world together and built a business. In his perfect world, Shawn would be a drummer for Van Halen; but said he was never really a lyricist. He is a great man who takes pride in his company, values his workers, and loves his customers!
Jennifer (Business Operations Manager)
Second, I’d love to introduce is Jennifer! Shawn’s wife, as well as our Business Operations Manager. Jen gives off an aura of compassion and joy. Whether you catch her taking orders over the phone or through various outlets, or packaging drumheads to be sent across the country, she will have a huge smile on her face and be ready to hold a strong and meaningful conversation. “Dream big, work hard, stay focused, and surround yourself with good people” you’ll often hear her saying. She is a master at running our day to day operations not only with vintage logos but with her family as well.
She runs a tight shift- but always a fun shift! Jen started working in retail at the age of 18 at Dillard’s and not too long after became a store manager of a privately owned company. She puts her heart and soul into vintage logos now, she has the pleasure of watching Shawn grow Vintage Logos into the company it is now and knew she could cultivate ideas and build a team that would take VL to the next level. She values her employees with motherly love, and drives a strong work ethic, being present and getting to work is her favorite attribute in her employees. If you catch her outside of VL she’s with her teenage daughter shopping, or with her husband going to garage sales and estate sales on the weekends. If she were in a band, this lovely woman would be a singer for Kool and The Gang! She loves 80’s dance music!
James (Production Artist)
Next, we have James, Jay for short… J if you’re just lazy. He’s our production artist and possibly the coolest guy on earth (maybe after me). We found him in a dumpster… I mean he came to us after working for a screen printing company with loads of experience. He currently is the man behind the curtain that expertly creates the drumheads, speaker grill cloths, banners, and more. After they have been designed and printed he goes to work cutting to size and placing products. He does it all- and with a smile on his face as well. He is driven by his humor and working harmoniously with his team.
When he’s not at VL he’s either a Brad Pitt lookalike and/or the lead singer for Matchbox 20. His favorite quote is “I don’t know how many years on this earth I have left. I’m gonna get real weird with it” from Frank Reynolds on Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. If he were to be in any band he wanted, he said he would be in Menahan Street Band as a bassist so he could play alongside Charles Bradley, or a member of OFWGKTA because.. and I quote “Those boys are wild”.
Aaron (Graphic Designer)
Last but not least, me! I’m Aaron- and I am the newest member of the team. I am a graphic designer here at Vintage Logos. I also have taken on roles helping assist with social media. Most exciting thing going for me is I am a senior at Xavier University graduating in the fall. I have a passion for communicating with people. I love hearing stories and understanding different perspectives. If you don’t catch me at work, you would find me working on homework; or find me with clients taking photographs for different occasions.
My drive and motivation in life is being successful. I want to fail and make mistakes to push myself to learn and grow and strive for more success. Rarely do I give up and walk away. “You must put your head into the lion’s mouth if the performance is to be a success” from Winston Churchill is my favorite quote. I heard it in a design class- and since then I have always strived to find the lion and conquer a challenge. In my Lala land of fame; It would only be fitting that I would be Beyoncé and educate the world with the beauty of my music. In a perfect world!
And that’s Vintage Logos. Thanks for taking the time to read about our team; and we hope that you feel like you’ve gotten to know us a little better. When you call into our office, you are going to reach one of us- and we are going to want to help you every step of the way branding your band. Please do not hesitate to give us a call!
